Zane Ward

Zane Ward, 78, of Brighton, passed away on Saturday, March 27. Mr. Ward was a retired carpenter supervisor at the Memphis VA Medical Center and a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Ward; two sons, Michael Ward of Brighton and Stephen Hedrick of Millington; one daughter, Patricia (Thomas) Butler of Burlison; one brother, Donald (Pat) Ward of Brighton; two sisters-in-law, Ann Ward and Beverly Ward; six grandchildren, Matthew Irvin, Caitlin Irvin, Elizabeth Butler, Tristan and Trinity Butler and Oliver Hedrick and two great grandchildren, Cassidy Irvin and Nathan Qualls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clara Ward; one sister, Cleta Shelton; two brothers, Norris Ward and Allen Ward and one grandson, Brandon Ward. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31 at the Macedonia United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Covington Funeral Home has charge of services.
