William "Tanie" Alsbrook

November 15, 1946 — December 27, 2022

William “Tanie” Alsbrook, 76, of Burlison, passed away on Tuesday, December 27. Mr. Alsbrook was a graduate of Munford High School where he served as Senior Class President and the Captain of the Basketball team. He was a retired assembly line worker for International Harvester, having worked 21 years there and was of the Methodist faith. In his spare time, he coached youth football, served as a coach with the Dixie Youth Baseball league from 1967 until the 1990s and served at Vice President of the league from 1978-1990. He also coached other youth sports in the Munford Area. He is survived by his wife, Ann Alsbrook; two sons, Charles “Dee” Alsbrook and Jarred Alsbrook; two step-sons, Shoaf (Leigh Ann) Thornton and Zack (Shack) Tucker; two brothers, Phil Alsbrook and Dave Alsbrook; one sister, Lanie Hanks; ten grandchildren, Monroe, Jolie TJM, Hillary, Leah, William, Abby, Owen, Cole, Summer and Steel, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Clyde and Mary Alsbrook; two brothers, Bobby Charles Alsbrook and Ricky Alsbrook; one sister, Polly Armbruster, and one step-son, Dylan Tucker. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Randolph Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 on Thursday morning and until service time at 1.
