Wade Wyssbrod, 68, of Brighton, passed away on Monday, April 15 at the VA Hospital in Memphis. He was born on January 11, 1956 in Helena, AR to William "Bill" and Evelyn Wyssbrod. He lived in Marvell, AR before moving to Covington.
He was a cotton ginner most of his life and worked at the Longtown Gin, Crockett Mills Gin, Humboldt Gin and the CO-OP gin. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing in the Hatchie River and hunting in the bottoms near the famous "Echo Spot". He loved to run trot lines, pull nets and talking smack during pool games. Regardless of what else he was doing, he just enjoyed being outside. He was a wonderful father to Danielle and, at the end of the day, all he really cared about was her.
He is survived by one daughter, Danielle James; one sister, Janice Wyssbrod Bottorff and one brother, Wayne David (Frances) Wyssbrod. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill (Gloria Jean) Wyssbrod, Winford "Wimpy" Wyssbrod and Winston Wyssbrod.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and until service time.
