Virginia Gray

Virginia Gray, 76, of Covington, passed away on Monday, December 11. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  She was the assistant pastor for 42 years at the Charleston Full Gospel Church and a homemaker.  She leaves her husband of 62 years, Rev. H B Gray; three daughters, Sheila Elrod of Covington, Sharon Fryer of Brighton and Denise Poole of Atoka; one son, David Gray of Covington; three brothers, Darrell Hooks, Rickey Hooks and Terry Joe Hooks, all of Brighton; two sisters, Mary Lou Thompson of Cordova and Barbara Byrd of Brunswick; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Nina Hooks and a sister, Donnie Wright.
