Virginia Bowden

Virginia Gunter Bowden, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 4th, at her home in Saulsbury, TN. She retired from Motion Pictures Laboratory, where she worked as a film technician. Mrs. Virginia was a congregant of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and piecing together jigsaw puzzles.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her four children, Donna McClarin of Saulsbury, TN, Mike Bowden (Carole) of Senatobia, MS, Debbi Bowden of Saulsbury, TN, and Dale Bowden (Jodie) of Bartlett, TN; three grandchildren, Rob Baldridge (Chrissy), Shelby Bowden, and Jake Bowden; one great-grandchild, Bo Baldridge, and two sisters, Doris Winn of Athens, GA, and Carolyn McIntosh (Gordon) of Elberton, GA.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Covington, with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be held at Covington Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, before the service at the church. The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mrs. Virginia’s honor.
