Veda Robinson, 87, of Covington, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at Parkway Cove Memory Care. Mrs. Robinson returned to Covington in 2001 from Brandon, MS, after her beloved husband, Bill, passed away. She spent the last 23 years of her life close to her family, helping her daughter Carla in the insurance business and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Most days you could find her working in her flowers beds and keeping her yard meticulous. Although most called her Veda, her favorite name was Nana.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” Millard (Wendy) Turner, Jr. of Cordova; grandsons, George Robert (Erin) Baddour, and Ben (Kristy) Baddour both of Covington; granddaughters, Megan (Tanner) Casey of Arlington and Madison Turner of Knoxville; sister Inez McGinnis of Nashville, and her great-grandchildren, Kate, Henry, Weston, and Raegan Baddour, and Hilton Turner Casey due in June.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Naaman Billings and Ruby McKnatt Billings; brother, Doug Billings; husband, Bill Robinson; daughter Carla Witherington, and great-grandson, Garner Baddour.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, March 21, at 10am at Covington Memorial Gardens. There is no visitation planned at this time. Memorials can be sent to Covington First United Methodist Church, Preschool Fund.
