Tommy Carpenter, 85, of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, August 5. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in the Randolph Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7 at the funeral home. Mr. Carpenter was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, retired from the Naval Reserve after 30 years, a retired fire-fighter with the Naval Air Station Millington and a member of the Randolph United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Carpenter; three daughters, Kathy Hall of Satellite Beach, FL, Tammy Haden of Collierville and Jill McLane of Atoka; one son, Tim Carpenter of Springfield, IL; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
