Timothy Ray Daugherty

Timothy Ray Daugherty, 66, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, June 19.

Tim was born in Covington on June 28, 1957 to Joe and Jean Daugherty.  After high school, Tim pursued degrees in electrical and industrial maintenance.  

After a 20 year career in production and industrial maintenance, Tim took over his dad's family business at Daugherty's Welding, making him a 4th generation owner/operator.  He truly loved "The Shop" and all of his customers.  Tim also enjoyed fishing, his weekly date night steak and spending time with his grandkids.

He was the best husband to his beloved wife of 45 years, Linda Reeser Daugherty. Tim was the perfect father to his daughters, Shannon (Brandon) Chesney of Brighton and Samantha (Dan) Bennett of Trimble, TN.  He was the proud granddaddy of Timothy (Maddie) Daugherty, Lexie (Eli) Bennett, Jordan Chesney, Dominic Chesney, Lilly (Justin) Bennett, Gavin Chesney and Kyle Bennett. He also had a baby sister, Cindy (Brian) Webster of Drummonds.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jean Daugherty and his brother, Steve Daugherty.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 24 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
