Stanley Scott

Stanley “Uncle Buck” Scott, 69, of Covington, passed away on Thursday, January 6 at Saint Francis Hospital in Bartlett after a brief illness. Mr. Scott was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Covington, a bus driver with the Tipton County Board of Education, and a jack of all trades, ready to help anyone and everyone at any time. He is survived by his wife of 16 ½ years, Brandy Scott; two sons, Michael (Tiffany) Scott and Joel Scott; seven grandchildren, Caleb (Madison) Scott, Tucker (Summer) Derryberry, Shae Derryberry, Shelbie (Dominic) Derryberry Paris, Micayla Scott, Hannah Scott and Haley Scott; one great grandchild, Jentri Scott; five brothers, Ron Scott, John W. Scott, Don Scott, Roger Scott and Jeff Scott, and many nieces, nephews, and bonus grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Myriam Scott, one sister, Kathey Williams and one great grandchild, Kenadie Scott. A celebration of life for Mr. Scott will be held at a later date.
