Stanley Wayne Jackson, 85, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, September 10. Mr. Jackson was a retired mechanic with John Deere, a farmer and a member of the Brighton First Assembly of God Church. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Dale) Faulkner of Brighton and Renea (Carey) McClerkin of Munford and three grandsons, Ethan Faulkner and Garrett Faulkner, both of Brighton and Chase McClerkin of Bartlett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Finnie and Myrtle Delashmit Jackson; his wife of 56 years, Joyce Ann Boothe Jackson; his granddaughter, Kara Brooke McClerkin and two brothers, Vernon Carl Jackson and Casey Laneil Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 14 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In accordance with the county wide mask mandate, all attendees are requested to wear a mask to the visitation and service.
