Shirley Bridges

Shirley Welch Carlton Bridges, 64, of Munford, passed away on Thursday, July 16. Ms. Bridges was a home health aide. She is survived by her husband, Gary Bridges of Munford; one son, Shawn Carlton of Southaven; two sisters, Patsy Earnest of Irving, TX and Deborah Ramos of Munford; one brother, Rothmer Welch of Cherokee, AL; eight grandchildren, Shawna Hambick Sherrill, Hannah Burrows, Ethan Burrows, Dalton Carlton, Bryce Carlton, Samantha Wolfe, Gracie Wolfe and Stephen Wolfe, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Carlton Burrows, and one brother, Larry Welch. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel, with interment to follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at the funeral home.
