Sean Michael Morton

Sean Michael Morton, age 43, passed away on July 26, 2021. He was born at the Naval Hospital in Millington, TN on October 4, 1977 to parents David and Janet Smith Morton. Sean attended Slidell High School, graduating with honors in 1995, and the University of Memphis, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2005. Mr. Morton was a dedicated employee of Rich’s Foods in Arlington, TN, for the past 15 years, and worked as the Supervisor in the Water Treatment System. Although he was a private person, Sean was a caring and loving person, and truly had a heart to help others. He loved Christmas, and always brightened the Christmas season. With miracles from God, he survived Meningitis two times, and COVID once. He loved to read and cook, and was a huge movie and music buff. He was also a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan! Sean Morton leaves behind his parents, David and Janet Morton; his brother and sister-in-law, Ian and Angie Morton; his brother, James Smith; four nephews, Joshua Morton, Nicholas Morton, Jonathan Morton, and Eric Smith; one niece, Alexis Smith, and his beloved dog Max, a Labrador Retrieved Mix. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in the Covington Funeral Home chapel. There is no public visitation planned at this time. Interment in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery will follow the service.
