Sandra Kesterson, age 78, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Covington Care Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and CNA in her younger years, and worked as a transportation manager for York Township Senior Center in Illinois until her retirement. Ms. Sandy was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Brighton, and loved her church and church family dearly. She enjoyed exercising and socializing at the YMCA, visiting with family on vacations, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and her fur babies, her dogs Lil’ Bit and Joni.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Dana Kesterson; four grandchildren, Justine Cariota, Nikki Bryant, Brittany Hollie, and Steven Kesterson; numerous great-grandchildren, and one sister, Carol Kostner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Kesterson; one daughter, Brenda Anne Kesterson; her parents, Eugene Charles and Dorothy Eleanore Wittman Brown; one sister, Kathleen Dame, and one brother, Francis “Buzz” Brown.

Funeral services for Ms. Kesterson will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 8, at Covington Funeral Home, with visitation to begin two hours prior to the funeral in the chapel. Brother Ray Chaudoin will officiate the service.
