Samuel "Scott" Catterton

October 9, 1965 — October 12, 2020

Scott Catterton, age 55, of Munford, died peacefully on October 12 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. He was never able to recover from lymphoma of the brain surgery of a week ago. Scott attended the Helen R. Tucker Adult Development Center in Ripley. Scott was an autistic young man who never met a stranger. He was simple and was just as happy with a $1 gift as a $100 gift. He loved riding with his daddy in the truck, singing along with the songs on the radio, eating ice cream, and drinking Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper. He loved his family and friends. He was so innocent in his daily living. Scott is survived by his parents, Ralph Terry and Kay Catterton of Munford; brother, Terry Neal Catterton (Catrenia) of Brighton; nephew, Tyler Catterton of Germantown and niece, Raven Gray of Munford. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 15, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with service following at 1 p.m. at Covington Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family requests that masks be worn by all and social distances respected.
