Ruthie Bartlett

Ruthie Bartlett, 74, of Brighton, passed away on Saturday, July 17. Ms. Bartlett was the former assistant manager of the Dunlap Retirement Center having retired after 25 years. She is survived by one daughter, Patty (Jeff) Laxton; one son, Michael (Jenny) Scott; one step-son, Roger Bartlett; one step-daughter, Kay Cavness of Ridgely; two brothers, Winston Elam and James Elam; one sister, Jeanette Warren; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Therman Edgar and Lilly Akins Elam and her husband, Addison Bartlett. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20 at the Townsend Cemetery in Covington. No visitation is planned. Covington Funeral Home has charge of services.
