Rubbie Cooper

Rubbie "Nanny" Cooper, 71, of Covington, passed away on Tuesday, January 3 at Baptist Hospital - Tipton in Covington. Ms. Cooper was a retired department manager with Wal-Mart, having retired after 32 years. Ms. Cooper is survived by her husband of 51 years, Eddie Cooper; one daughter, Bonnie Harmon of Paragould, AR; one sister, Annie McCommon of Covington; two grandchildren, Brandon King and Kelly Carpenter and 11 great grandchildren, Keon McGregor, Aiden McGregor, Ryley McGregor, Adrian King, Jaylen King, Alaina King, Stormy Jones King, Trey Patterson, Taylon Carpenter, Tyler Carpenter and Ryan Knox. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Effie Caviness; one granddaughter, Valerie King; one great grandchild, Mason King and three brothers, James Caviness, Richard Caviness and Mac Caviness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 9 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday and until service time at 2 p.m.
