Rosie Poole Barnes

Rosie Poole Barnes, 96, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, August 20 after a lengthy illness.  Ms. Barnes was a homemaker.

She is surived by her husband, Lloyd Barnes; four daughters, Ann Gray, Linda Penny, Janie Haley and Mary Windowmaker; three step-daughters, Amanda Barnes, Lisa Barnes and Loretta Barnes; 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three daughters, Rosie Marie Cappos, Lorine Phillips and Sherry Montoya; one son, Jimmy Poole and three sisters, Nannie Bea Richardson, Mary Lucille Queen and Willie Ruth Poole.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
