Robert "Bubba" Hayes, 81, of Millington, passed away on Friday, May 10 at his home surrounded by his family. Bubba was born on December 18, 1942 in Peckerwood Point to the late Henry and Julia Marie Carter Hayes. He was graduate of Munford High School where he excelled in basketball. He was a retired plant manager with a container corporation and was a U. S. Army veteran.
Bubba loved cars, and racing. He enjoyed fishing and was a knife maker. He was a good man who loved his family greatly and enjoyed watching the sunset from his home on the bluff.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hayes; two sons, Robert Shea Hayes of Brighton and Michael Shawn Hayes of Meridian, MS; two brothers, Danny Hayes of Millington and Jimmy Hayes of Peckerwood Point and four grandchildren, Kaylee Harrison, Kori Pilgrim, Tanner Pilgrim and Chase Cohen.
Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home with memorial services to be private.
