Richard Benard

Richard Benard, 60, of Munford, passed away on Tuesday, July 13 at his home. Mr. Benard was a carpenter with Randy Baskin Construction. He is survived by his long time companion and care giver, Kathy Leird; one son, Bradley (Amber) Benard of Covington; one brother, Bobby Lewis Benard of Covington; one sister, Mary Benard Kelly of Covington; his mother, Nancy Benard of Covington; his companion's sons, Reuben Miller and George Leird and four grandchildren, Lance Whitehead, Brady Whitehead, Layla Benard and Gracie Leird. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Chasity Whitehead; one sister, Patricia Helen Benard and his father, Bobby Otis Benard. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 16 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
