Rennie Smith

Rennie Smith, 70, of Burlison, passed away on Tuesday, January 19. Ms. Smith was born on November 5, 1950 in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada to the late David and Phyllis Squires. She was the owner of Rennie’s in Covington and a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Wallace Smith; one daughter, Tonya (Mike) Guy of Covington; three sisters, Gail Thomas of St. John’s, Newfoundland; Wanda Little of Ward, AR and Una Morgan of Sharon, TN; five brothers, Bill Squires, Wayne Squires, Kerry Squires, Roy Squires and Chris Squires, all of St. John’s, Newfoundland and three grandchildren, Isaac Smith, Whitley Smith and Rylee Guy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Trina Lynn Smith and one son, Wally Smith. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
