Phillip Herron

Phillip Lynn Herron, age 74, of Mobile, Alabama, formerly of Covington, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in the comfort and presence of his loving family. Mr. Herron is a Vietnam veteran, and a retired store room manager for Degussa, a chemical manufacturing company in Theodore. Alabama, having worked 31 years with the company. Phillip Herron leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Shirley Ridings Herron; two sons, Eric (Gina) Herron and Mark (Betzy) Herron; four grandchildren, Tyler, Chase, Adalynn, and Kalan; brother by choice, Jay Ridings, and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ruby Herron; two brothers, Bobby Herron and Milford Herron, and one sister, Norma Sue Booth. A visitation for friends and family will be held at Covington Funeral Home from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2. Graveside services with military honors for Mr. Herron will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery in Brighton, Tennessee.
