Perry Jenkins

Perry Neal Jenkins, age 68, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Tipton.  He was a United States Army veteran, an avid outdoorsman with a preference for deer and turkey hunting, and was a member of the Big Hatchie Hunting Club for over 20 years.  “P.J.,” as his friends called him, retired from his job as a maintenance technician with Unilever, and was enjoying his retirement by being the best Paw Paw to his grandchildren.  

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanine Gray Jenkins; his children Kevin Jenkins and Kelley Jenkins; three grandchildren, Savanna Jenkins, Kolby Jenkins, and Jayden Rodriguez, and one sister, Lynn Hollingsworth.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Dorothy Jenkins; two brothers, Wayne Jenkins and Jimmy Dale Jenkins, and one sister, Beverly Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Covington Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.  Visitation for friends and family will begin two hours prior to the service in the chapel.
