Paul Owen, Sr.

Paul Kenneth Owen, Sr., age 72, of Brighton passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Mr. Owen was a retired maintenance worker with Kimberly Clark. He attended Brighton High School, and the Colorado School of Trades for Gunsmithing. He was a veteran of the United States Army, an avid outdoorsman, and the owner of Owen Grocery Store in Covington. He is survived by two sons, Paul “PK” (Jessie) Owen and Chad Stafford; four grandsons, Payton Owen, Parker Owen, Brenan Stafford, and Hunter Stafford; his granddaughter Dakota Stafford; his loving companion, Debbie Owen; his sister, Pam Cannon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Sarah Craig Owen; two brothers, J. D. Owen and Jerry Owen; two sisters, Peggy Atkins and Emma Hanks, and one grandson, Wyatt Cole Stafford. Memorial services for Mr. Paul Owen, Sr., will be held on Monday, January 10, at Covington Funeral Home. Visitation for friends and family will be from 2pm until 3pm, with the service to begin at 3pm. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
