Neal Simonton, 66, of Brighton, passed away on Saturday, April 7. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Morrison’s Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 at the funeral home. Mr. Simonton was the owner of Complete Lawn and Landscaping and a former truck driver with the Tipton County Public Works Dept. He is survived by his wife, Debe Simonton; three daughters, Staci (C. H.) Sullivan of Covington, Hannah (Ryan) McClain of Atoka and Danielle (Paul) Stettnisch of Prosper, TX; two sons, Trey (Melissa) Hooper of Southaven and John-Allen Baker of Virginia; one sister, Jane (Jim) Durham of Arlington and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Harrison Simonton and his parents, John and Elizabeth Tanner Simonton. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
