Michael John Simmons

Michael John Simmons, 47, of Paris, TN, passed away on March 27th, 2023, at Jackson General Hospital. He was born on August 6th, 1975, in Memphis, TN. Michael was a graduate of Munford High School, Class of 1994, and a member of Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris, TN, where he worked as a custodian and grounds keeper. Michael loved fancy cars, and music, and wasn’t afraid to be himself. You could always count on him to sing his heart out during karaoke, and he knew how to work the crowd! He was a warm and caring person, with just the right amount of sarcasm mixed in. Michael was a beacon of positivity, always encouraging others, full of complements and sincerity, and willing to lend a helping hand whenever called upon. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Adams and stepfather, Jim Adams of Atoka, TN, and his father, Mike Simmons and stepmother, Marie Simmons of Piperton, TN; his sister, Amie Benz (Tim) of Gig Harbor, Washington; his brother, Josh Simmons (Sarah) of Paris, TN, and three step- siblings, Jason Greenwood, Parisa Carr and Jeremy Adams. His memory will be carried on through his six nieces and nephews: Dalton Rostvold, Davis Vowell, Aly Simmons, Ella Simmons, Isabel Simmons, and Owen Simmons. Currently there is no memorial service planned.
