Michael "Mike" Peek

Michael "Mike" Peek, 68, of Covington, passed away on Friday, November 10 at Baptist Hospital Memphis.  

A member of the Brighton Church of Christ, he was a truck driver for the Tipton County Public Works Department.  He was the best mechanic and had a knack for understanding engines.  His ear for engines had his friends and family seeking him out for repair work.  Mike was the salt of the earth and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Michelle Bartram of Covington; two grandchildren, Meredith Luzelle Bartram and Sophia Michelle Bartram; one sister, Dianne Culley of Olive Branch and his mother, Meredith Peek of Southaven.  He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Peek and one brother, Richard "Ricky" Peek.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
