Maylene Walker, 72, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born on June 12, 1951 in Covington to the late Walter L. and Katie Mae Riales Vaughan, Sr. She lived in Faison, North Carolina where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years and was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Calvin Thomas (Lisa) Simpson of Atoka; four grandchildren, Jesse Simpson, Seth Simpson, Katie (Luke) Chason and McKenna Kreiger; one great granddaughter, Rhiannon Chason and three siblings, Bobby Vaughan of Athens, AL, Ann Beard of Brighton and Jackie (Amy) Vaughan of Greenfield, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Walker; one daughter, Shelley Kreiger and two siblings, Katrina Bragg and W. L. Vaughan, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Morrison Memorial Cemetery in Brighton.
Maylene loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
