Mary Helen Brookshire Temm, 91, of Atoka, passed away September 20, 2021 at Baptist Hospital-Tipton in Covington. She was a retired retail worker, mother and homemaker. She leaves two daughters; Phyllis (Layne) King of Atoka and Brenda (Rick) Dickerson of Brighton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Rogers of Brighton, Edith Black of Kerrville, and Evelyn Burk of Munford and one brother, James "J.B." Chapman of Drummonds. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Brookshire and Alma Chapman Delashmit; brothers, Roy Brookshire, Leon Chapman, Jr, Buford Chapman, Maurice Chapman, Hervey Chapman and Phil Chapman; sisters, Martha Hedrick, Eileen Harrison and Laverne Rogers, and children, Frances Haley, Rachel Warfield, Pamela Duhart and Sue Owens. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 4th at Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Bethuel Cemetery in Kerrville. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
