Marvene Kinney Twisdale

Marvene Kinney Twisdale, 80, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born to parents Marvin and Odell Kinney in Gulfport, MS on March 17, 1943. Marvene was an artist in many facets of her life. She spent countless hours in her studio, mastering her talent as a writer, painter and calligraphist. A devout Christian, she was a member of the Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She never met a stranger and had a unique ability to make everyone she met feel loved, listened to and accepted. She touched many lives with her big smile and contagious laugh. Most notably, Marvene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of positivity, joy and selflessness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, AB Twisdale. She is survived by her daughter, Alysia (Dan) Pickard; two grandchildren, Easton (Maddie) Lavelle and Ashton Pickard and a great grandson, Kipp Lane Lavelle. Funeral services for Ms. Twisdale are private.
