Martha Smith Mayfield

Martha Smith Mayfield, 86, of Brighton, passed away on Monday, January 4. Ms. Mayfield was a retired accounting clerk with the Arlington Developmental Center and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Cathy Mayfield of Brighton; one son, Jon Steven (Anna) Mayfield of Covington; one sister, Ruby (Robert) Smith of Covington and one grandson, John Wayne Mayfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Houston and Ruby Pearl Delk Smith and her husband, John B. Mayfield, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6 at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
