Marlyn Seagrave, 86, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, November 29. Marlyn was a pillar of the community - volunteering her time to Habitat For Humanity, Meals-on-Wheels, the Boys and Girls Club of Covington, among many other charitable organizations and was a member of the Covington First United Methodist Church. She taught 4th grade at Brighton Elementary School for many years before retiring and offering her time and love to CASA of Tipton County. She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Chris) Turner of Covington and Peggy (Larry) Walker of Paducah, KY; two sons, David Scott Seagrave of Covington and John Norman (Janine) Seagrave of Brighton; one sister, Carla Wright of Washington State; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allyn and Margaret Wright and her husband, David Seagrave. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a stranger to none and a friend to all. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Covington. Memorial services for Ms. Seagrave will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 28 at the Covington First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
