Marilyn Harrison

Marilyn Harrison, 76, of Burlison, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, after a brief illness. Mrs. Marilyn was a sassy, high-spirited woman, who loved fiercely. Her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and her dogs (sometimes the dogs more than the people,) held a special place in her heart. She wouldn’t have been Marilyn without her cokes and honeybuns, though! The simple woman that she was, she touched many lives and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Arnold Harrison; three children, Chris Harrison, Cindy (Mike) Blanchard, and Ann (Andy) Mason; six grandchildren, Crystal, Jennifer, Michael, Stephanie, Amber, and Ariel; thirteen great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Eli, Harrison, Britlee, Haven, Bentley, Adalynn, Matthew, Lewis, William, Henry, Sebastian, and Lily, and her sister, Edith Bowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Etta Butler Brumley, and her siblings, Donald Brumley, Dollie Frye, Barbara Harrison, Jerry Brumley, and Bonnie Tankersley. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 4 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
