Margaret Gross

Margaret Gross, 78, of Drummonds, passed away on Wednesday, October 30 at her home surrounded by her family.  

Margaret was a graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, LA and a member of the Beaver Baptist Church.  An office manager, during her lifetime she worked at East Feliciana State Hospital and Area Counseling Associates.   Her last job was with Wal-Mart in Millington, where she retired.  

She is survived by three children, Theresa (Jimmy Raye) Merriman of Mason, Bo (Melanie) Gross of Munford and Tonya (Roger) Kenney of Drummonds; three sisters, Bobbie Ross of Clinton, LA, Debbie Price of Bluff Creek, LA and Rhonda Maples of Bluff Creek, LA; eight grandchildren, Cody Gross, Thurston Merriman, Taylor (Jordan) Glenn, Kayla (Morgan) Moody, Lydia Alsbrook, Dalton Alsbrook, Darrian (Catarina) Kenney and Kaitlyn (Scott) Smalley and four great grandchildren, Heidi Gross, Mason Smalley, Walker Smalley and Elizabeth Smalley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Maude Irene Pace Gayle;  her husband, Venoy Gross, Sr. and a sister, Peggy Tycer.

Funeral services will held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 4 at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 3 at the funeral home.  Private interment will take place at the Pace Family Cemetery in Bluff Creek, LA. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Beaver Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Crossroads Hospice organization.  Special recognition goes to Chaplain Bobbie McKine, Robin Clark, Sandra Jackson and Precious Lindsey Stroud.
