Madeline Byrd

Madeline Byrd, 81, of Millington, passed away on Wednesday, March 14.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Northridge/Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington.   The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at the funeral home.  Ms. Byrd was a retired telephone operator with the Millington Telephone Company and a former bookkeeper/cashier at Rainey's Big Star in Millington.  She is survived by three daughters, Paula Korber of Fairmont City, Ill, Sandra Harding and Kathy King, both of Millington; one son, Steve Byrd of Millington; one sister, Kathryn Glass of Drummonds; one brother, David Andrews of Southaven; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
