In the early morning of December 2, 2021, Mack Gantt went to be with the Lord. He had a great life of 78 years and would have turned 79 on December 19, 2021. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to run his beagles and be outdoors. For thirty plus years, Mack built houses and poured concrete. He was a hardworking man who loved his family, was a great friend, and would give you the shirt off of his back. Mack helped many people throughout his life. He was a loving father, grandfather, and mentor. Not only did he have the greatest sense of humor, he told the best stories, and cracked the funniest jokes. Mack Gantt will be missed by all that knew him. Truly one of a kind! Mack married Barbara in 1963, and together they raised two daughters Missy and Tee; four grandchildren, Christopher, Chelsea, Joze, and Jebb, and five great-granddaughters. He will be reunited with his parents, brothers, and friends who preceded him in death. Due to his wishes there will not be a service at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
