Lisa Padgett Hudson, age 54, of Michie, TN, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, under hospice care, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer only two weeks prior. Although the loss of Mrs. Lisa is sudden, her family finds comfort in knowing she went home to be with Jesus, and is no longer suffering in her Earthly body. She has been reunited with her parents, Trooper Anthony Padgett and Vivian Jones Padgett, and sister, Wendy Mauldin, who preceded her in death. With beautiful memories, and all of her love, she leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Bradford Hudson; her daughter, Haley Hudson (Anthony Wiley); her son, Joshua Hudson (Carilynn Hudson); her Juliana pig, Tootsie; two nephews, Eric Padgett and Nick Smith, and many friends. Lisa loved music and the way it would make her feel, moving to the rhythm and getting lost in the sound. Even though she was a die-hard Florida Gators fan, she did have a special place in her heart for Pittsburgh Steelers football and Terry Bradshaw. She had a big heart for animals as well, sharing her yard (and sometimes her home) with pigs, chickens, cows, and birds of all kinds. Mrs. Lisa touched so many lives, becoming “Mom” to everyone who walked into her home. She was known as a kind and generous lady, and will be dearly missed. Funeral services for Lisa Hudson will be held at 3pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Covington Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Morrison’s Memorial Cemetery, in Brighton, where she will be laid to rest near her parents. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1pm until 3pm at the funeral home.
