Linda Long, 73, of Drummonds, passed away on Monday, August 13. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 17 at the Clopton United Methodist Church where she was a member. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 16 at the funeral home. She was a retired recruiter with Life Blood. She is survived by her husband, Vondale Paul Long; two daughters, Teresa Scott and Teri Lynn Graves, both of Brighton; two sons, Toby Long of Memphis and Ted Long of Blue Springs, MS; five sisters, Polly Blanchard and Martha Owen, both of Covington, Donna Drain of Eads, Marsha Underwood of Ripley and Susan Williams of Brighton; one brother, Jimmy Cothran of Brighton and eight grandchildren, Kayla Walters, Austin Scott, Ethan Scott, Kaitlin Graves, Taylor Graves, Joe Graves, Andrew Papa and Lea Papa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Willie Thelma Cothran. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Clopton United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
