Reverend Larry Rose, age 81, of Munford, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home in Munford. He was a retired maintenance mechanic for WM Barr, and a minister for many years, pastoring at Union Grove Assembly of God in Newbern, Simonton Assembly of God in Munford, Halls Assembly of God in Halls, and his last appointment was serving Randolph Assembly of God.
Rev. Rose is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Faye Bishop Rose, his daughter, Tanya Rose, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Timothy Rose and Jeffrey Rose; his parents, Lofton Wyatt and Mary Joyner Rose; and eight siblings, Harley Rose, Jesse Rose, Gene Rose, Darcus Robertson, Juanita Atkins, Billy Rose, John Rose, and Alice Jane Rose.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, in the chapel of Covington Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating a blanket to Fresenius Kidney Care Tipton County in Reverend Rose’s memory.
