Larry "Pop" G. Stanley

January 4, 1952 — November 30, 2022

On November 30, 2022, Larry G. Stanley "Pop," passed into God's graces after a long battle with his illness. He was 70 years old, and a warrior every moment of it! Born on January 4, 1952, to Margie (MawMaw) and Billy Stanley, Pop was raised in Brownsville, Tennessee, and attended Trezevant High School. He grew up loving to feel the wind while riding his motorcycles, and enjoyed the simpler things in life, such as collecting an abundance of plants, and caring for them daily. He was an Elvis fan, and loved listening to his music. On April 26, 1982, Pop married his longtime love, Merieda Stanley, and from that moment the two of them were inseparable, spending every waking moment together. Although he had a tough shell, and put up a hard front, Pop had a soft spot for his grandchildren. Pop is survived by many loving individuals, including his wife, Rita Stanley; great-grandkids, Messiah Wiggins, Vannie Moses, Kase Moses, and Drake Moses; grandkids, Katerina Wiggins, Luke Moses, Seth Moses, Chasity Moses, and Chase Moses; children, Heather Wiggins, Tommy Moses, and Daryl Moses; his mother, Margie Stanley; his brother, Paul Stanley, and his sister, Colatta Stanley. He was preceded in death by his son, Shun Moses and his dad, Billy Stanley. The family will be having a welcome home service on December 17, 2022. Here are two prayers to keep in your heart for Pop, Dear God, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I reach forward today, touch the hem of your garment, and receive my healing. Yes, I want to get well. Give me the faith to walk in freedom and victory. In Jesus's name Amen Gracious God, only source of life and health, help comfort and relieve me, and give your power of healing to those who ministered to my needs; that my weakness may be turned in your loving care, for the sake of Jesus Christ Amen
