On November 3, 2020, Jesus came down and grabbed Larry's hand and said, "it's time to go home". He is reunited once and for all with his family and friends that have gone before him. For those of us that he has left behind, we both celebrate his homecoming and mourn the loss of a family leader. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lee Sigler Mallady, who has waited eight years. Also his parents, Vernon C. and Carrie D. Mallady, his brothers, Richard, Roger and Dale Mallady and his sister, Doris Campbell have awaited him. Larry leaves behind his son, James Wesley Mallady (Rhonda) of Brighton; grandsons, James Christopher Mallady (Jessica) of Munford and Daniel Cody Mallady (Ashley) of Brighton. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren Danielle and Jeremy Mallady of Munford and Braelynn and Ryleigh Mallady of Brighton. He also leaves a brother, Charles Mallady of Jackson and sisters, Linda Delong and Diane (Bobby) Elliot of Millington. Larry was very active in his church and an avid gun enthusiast collecting many different models. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and enjoyed his younger days in the woods with his friends and family. More than anything he enjoyed rocking on the porch drinking coffee with his soul mate Lynn. He will be remembered intensely in the hearts of his family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in West Union Cemetery in Millington. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
