Kim Bucey

Kim Bucey, age 43, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Ms. Kim was a fighter until the very end, having beaten hospice care on four different occasions. A bright light, an inspiration, she cared for everyone, and had the biggest heart. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, confidante, and friend, and will be missed dearly by those that knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Mia Danielle Bucey and her fiancé Tylor, and Lia Michelle Bucey; her mother and step-father, Carol Buckner Hayes and Mark Hayes; three sisters, Leslie (Cole) Harrison, Mandy (Kevin) Hayes, and Tonya (Donnie) Lawrence; her niece and nephews, Kierstin Weaver, Jon Edward Weaver, Wyatt Howard, and Zach Lawrence, and grandparents, Tom and Margaret Hayes. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Buchannon Bucey, and her grandparents, Cary and Mary Bucey, and Carl and Millie Buckner. Funeral Services for Ms. Kim Bucey will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Covington Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will take place on Friday, December 10th, at 11 a.m. in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Covington.
