Kenneth Young

Kenneth "Kenny" Young, 64, of Covington, passed away on Monday, July 15 at Baptist Hospital Tipton after a lengthy illness.

Kenny was a long time employee of Wal-Mart, having worked there for more than 25 years.  During his lifetime, he proudly donated 15 gallons of blood to the local blood bank.  He was a member of the NRA and the St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Covington.  

He is survived by two daughters, Amy (Trey) Gwin and Anna Ray; six grandchildren, Aaron Ray, Hunter Ray, Drake McNeley, Cash McNeley, Reese Gwin and Daviney Gwin; one great granchild, AnnaLee Ray; his mother, Billie Renfrow; one sister, Kathy Davis and two brothers, Michael Young and Zach Young. He was preceded in death by is father, Kenneth Young, Sr.  

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
