Kelly Mayfield

Kelly Mayfield, 53, of Covington, passed away on Friday, February 10 at Baptist Hospital Desoto after a lengthy illness. Kelly was an electrician by trade but enjoyed building furniture as well. Art and fishing were his hobbies - he was a talented artist and an avid fisherman. And he loved to eat! He is survived by his mother, Jane Mayfield of Covington; a brother, Bobby Scott Mayfield of Covington; one aunt, Alice Huey of Memphis; one cousin, Stephanie Messer of Nashville; and his beloved caregivers with Personal Care Services Midsouth, Indanuy "Pumpkin" Maclin, Shanta Mason, and Tina. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, February 13 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Kelly's memory to either the American Diabetes Association, the National Kidney Foundation, or the First United Methodist Church of Covington.
