Keith Jones

Keith Jones, 88, of Munford, passed away on Wednesday, November 30 at Methodist Hospital North after a brief illness. Mr. Jones was retired from the U.S. Navy having worked as a mechanical engineer and aircraft mechanic. After his retirement from the Navy, he served as the pastor of the Mason Presbyterian Church, a position from which he retired as well. He is survived by one daughter, Debbie VanLeuven of Munford and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Opal Jones; his wife of 67 years, Nancy Jones; two sons, Owen Russell "Rusty" Jones and Stephen "Steve" Keith Jones; one brother, Robert G. Jones and one sister, Joann Keifer. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 and until service time at 2 on Tuesday.
