Katie VanDouser

Kathryn Marie (Katie) VanDouser, 39, of Covington, passed from this world into Heaven’s glory on May 12, 2022 at Methodist North Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Katie was full of life. Her laughter was contagious and could light up a room. Katie loved with all of her heart and was equally loved by so many. She gave selflessly in her life, and continued this selfless giving in her death. Katie’s wish was for her organs to be donated, and her final act of kindness and love was to give the gift of life to others through organ donation. Katie was born February 25, 1983, to Donna Roe VanDouser and Stephen Lynn VanDouser. Her greatest accomplishment was her ten-year-old son, Bentley Roe Thompson. Bentley was her pride and joy, and Katie’s entire life revolved around him. In addition to her parents and precious son, Katie leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Meagan VanDouser; brother, Caleb VanDouser; nephew, Hayden Baskin; niece, Rylie Kate Baskin; grandparents, Bennie and Doris Roe; aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins and dear friends. Funeral services for Katie VanDouser will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Covington Funeral Home. Visitation for friends and family will begin two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.
