Karen Jones

Karen Goode Jones, 69, of Covington, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Mrs. Jones was a member of Western Valley Baptist Church, and was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Never meeting a stranger, Mrs. Jones was lovingly known by family, friends, and neighbors alike as “Momma K.” To her sister, she was known as “Kacki.” “Momma K” leaves behind her husband of twenty years, Michael A. Jones; three sons, James (Lasandra) Goforth, Trey Goforth, and Kane Richardson; three daughters, Misty Goforth, Angie Coulston, and Jasmine Brown; one step-son, Patrick Jones; one step-daughter, Margaret Jones; two brothers, Richard Keith Goode and Kenneth Grant Goode; one sister, Barbara Goode; thirteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. The love and memories of Mrs. Jones will live on as a beautiful legacy for her family to cherish. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Ray and Mattie Belle Pittman Goode. Funeral services for “Momma K” will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, December 12, at the Covington Funeral Home chapel, with visitation beginning two hours prior to the service time. Interment will take place immediately following the service in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Covington. As per the most current Tipton County mandate, masks will be required by everyone in attendance upon entering the funeral home.
