Karen Helton

Karen Helton, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in Ripley, Tennessee. She worked as a house painter, and in her down-time she did all types of painting and crafts. Ms. Karen enjoyed making garden gnomes, or as she called them, “flower pot babies.” She loved being outside, and had quite the collection of uniquely shaped and colored rocks she would find during her walks outdoors. To her family, her fun and loving personality and beautiful smile shined like sunshine. Ms. Karen is survived by her husband, Gary Helton, Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Bobby Bucey; four grandchildren, Nadalee Adkerson, Addison Bucey, Waylon Cross, and Ridgelee Bucey, and three brothers, Ronnie Byrd, Dan Byrd, and Mark Byrd. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn and Glenda Fike Byrd, and two sisters, Charlotte Gillihan and Cindy Byrd. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the Bethel Berry Cemetery, off of Craig Road, in Ripley, Tennessee. There is no visitation planned at this time.
