Justina Marie Cook, age 32, passed away from complications of Lupus on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. Justina Cook, better known as “Miss Teeny” to those that loved her, was a genuine, kind-hearted and spunky woman. The baby of the family, she was close with her siblings, but always made it a point to let them know who was “boss.” Even though they sometimes thought she was a spitfire, Justina brought so much joy to the lives she touched. She was a selfless woman, showing compassion and support for others whenever they needed her, and she spent her days being the best mother she could be to her precious daughter. Justina is survived by her daughter, Ava Cambrice Cunningham; her brother, Keithel Eugene Cook; her sister, Brittany Dawson (Jason) Caldwell: her father, Adrian Cook; her mother, Wanda Dawson Cook; her grandfather, James L. Dawson; two nieces, Jordan Caldwell and Brinleigh Caldwell; one nephew, Keigan Cook; her grandmother, Doris Bradshaw Cook; three uncles, Jimmy Dawson, Ronald Dawson, and Earlyn Hall, and three aunts, Kaffy Phlippi, Debbie Hall, and Tina Stewart. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Keithel B. Cook, and Joyce Ann Glass Dawson, and one aunt, Patricia Dianne Hignite. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 8 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel, with interment in R. H. Munford Cemetery to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
