Joyce Ann Montague

Joyce Montague, age 66, passed away at home on Thursday, June 23, 2022. She retired from FasTimes Community Market on 14 Highway, after cooking there for 27 years. Ms. Joyce was a wonderful, beautiful person, who was always willing to help others. She would go the extra mile in everything she did, and was known all around for her kind and loving heart, and of course, her breakfast biscuits. Ms. Joyce was a wife, mother, grandmother, "mother hen" and sister, and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Anthony Montague; her children, Stephanie Powell, Lisa (Marty) Moore, Monica (Joshua) Jones, Tiffany Montague, and Quan Montague; her grandchildren, Kam'ron, Kennedi, Wyatt, Autumn, Gunner, and Trinity; her siblings, Sharon Smith, Melissa Mercer, Joe Simpson, Scott Simpson, Jeff Simpson, Billy Simpson, Gloria Wakefield, Naomi Johnson, and Mary (Wilbert) Terry, and many other friends and family members. Visitation for close friends and family will be held on Saturday, July 2 from noon until 1:30pm. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
