John Ed Roberts

John Ed Roberts, 83, of Covington, passed away on Friday, October 5. Graveside services will be held on at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9 at Indian Creek Cemetery in Brighton, TN. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Mr. Roberts formerly served as a member in both the United States Army and the Tennessee National Guard, and in his later years was a self-employed Electrician. He is survived by his wife Shirley Roberts of Covington; two children, John (Robbin) Roberts of Covington, and Christy (Chuck) Laffey of Drummonds; one brother, Gene Roberts of Phoenix, AZ; two granddaughters, Amy (Austin) Gaskins and Melinda (Rhea) Chipman; and three great granddaughters.  He was preceded in death by his parents Ashley and Murna Roe Roberts.
